Let the tens place digit be a
And ones place digit be b
First condition,
Sum of digits = 12
=> a+b = 12
=> a = 12-b ------(1)
Second condition,
10a +b = 10b+a - 18
=> 10a+b-10b-a = - 18
=> 9a-9b = - 18
=> a - b = - 2
=> 12-b - b = - 2 (using equation 1)
=> 12 - 2b = - 2
=> 12+2 = 2b
=> 2b = 14
=> b = 7
a= 5
Required number = 57
