The sum of digits of a two digit number is 13. If the number formed by reversing the digits is less than the original number by 27, find the original number. (Solve with steps.)

Let the original no: be 10x + y

x + y = 13    ===> [1]

reversed no: = 

10x+ y - 27 = 10y + x
9x - 9y = 27

x - y = 3  ===> [2]

adding equations 1 and 2

x +y = 13
x - y = 3

2x = 16
x = 8

x - y = 3

8 -y = 3

5 = y

10x  + y 
10 x 8 + 5
 = 85
