Step-by-step explanation:
Let ten's digit be 'x' and one's digit be 'y'
The number→ 10x + y
Interchanged no. → 10y + x
10x + y = 10y + x - 18
9x - 9y = -18
9(x - y) = -18
x - y = -18/9
x - y = -2
x + y = 14 (Given)
x + y = 14
x - y = -2
_________
2x = 12 (on adding both equation)
x = 12/2
x = 6
_________
x + y = 14
6 + y = 14
y = 14 - 6
y = 8
Therefore x = 6 and y = 8
Number :
= 10x + y
= (10 x 6) + 8
= 60 + 8
= 68
