the sum of father's age and twice the age of his son is 70. if we double the age of the father and add it to the age of his son the sum is 95. find theri present age?? ​

Let age of father be y and age of son be x

2x+y=70 -------------(1)

x+2y=95 -------------(2)

Doubling eq.(2) = 2x+4y=190

Subtracting equations,

2x+y=70

-2x+4y=190

-------------------

-3y = -120

y=120/3

y=40 years

2x+y=70

2(x)+40=70

2x=30

x=15 years

Age of Father = 40 years

Age of Son = 15 years
