Given :   first 100 multiples of 5

To Find :  Sum

Solution:

1st 100 multiples of 5

5*1  , 5*2 , 5*3 , ............................................. , 5*99 , 5*100

5 , 10 , 15 , ......................................................, 495 , 500

a = 5

d = 5

n = 100

L = 500

Sum of n terms = (n/2) (a  + L)

= (100/2)(5 + 500)

= 50 ( 505)

=   25250

The sum of first 100 multiples of 5 is 25250
