The sum of first 5 term of AP is 5 & the sum of the next 10 terms is 175. Find the first three term.

Answer:

Sum of first 5 terms is

a+a+d+a+2d+a+3d+a+4d= 5a+10d= 5eq(1)

Sum of next 5 terms is

5a+35d=175 eq(2)

solve eq 1 & 2

d= 34/5

a= -63/5

first 3 terms are

-63/5 , -29/5 , 1
