Answer:

Let the four consecutive multiples of 7 be x, x+7,x+14 and x+21

x+x+7+x+14+x+21=126

=>4x+42=126

=>4x=126-42

=>4x=84

=>x=84/4

=>x=21

Therefore,the numbers are 21,28,35 and 42

Three consecutive multiples of 7

\large\rm \: x, \: x + 7, \: x + 14, \: x + 21

\large\rm \: x + \: x + 7 + \: x + 14 + \: x + 21 = 126

\large\rm \: 4x + 42 = 126

\large\rm \: 4x = 126 - 42

\large\rm \: 4x = 84

\large\rm \: x =  \frac{84}{4}

\large\rm \: x = 21

  • First consecutive multiple = 21
  • Second consecutive multiple = 28
  • Third consecutive multiple = 35
  • Forth consecutive multiple = 42
