hope this helps u

let as consider the unknown number be x

x , x+7.x+14,x+21 are the four consecutive number

x , x+7.x+14,x+21  here we have taken +7,+14,+21 because the x value is constant we the number is increased by 7 it makes the consecutive number

given is that

The sum of four consecutive multiples of 7 = 70.

x +x+7+x+14+x+21= 70

4x+42= 70

4x= 70-42

4x= 28

x= 28/7

x= 7

x =7

x+7= 7+7 = 14

x+14= 7+14= 21

x+21= 7+21=28

verification

x + x+7+x+14+x+21= 70

subsuits the values

7+14+21+28=70

70=70

Answer:

x=7

Step-by-step explanation:

sum of four consecutive multiples of 7 is 70.

Let first number = x

Let second number = x + 7

Let third answer = x + 14

Let fourth answer = x + 21

x+x+7+x+14+x+21 = 70

4x + 42 = 70

4x = 70 - 42

4x = 28

x = 28 / 4

x = 7

Therefore ,

First number = 7

Second number = 14

Third number = 21

Fourth number = 28
