let the first natural number be x

so the 4 consecutive numbers will be = X, (x+1),(x+2)and(x+3)

Given

=>x+x+1+x+2+x+3=166

=>4x+6 =166

=>4x= 160

=>x=40
numbers are 40,(40+1)=41, (40+2)=42 , (40+3)= 43
Req numbers are 40,41,42,43

Answer:

the numbers are 40, 41, 42, and 43.

Given:

the sum of four consecutive natural numbers is 166

To find:

the consecutive numbers whose sum is 166.

Solution:

let the first number be x.

so, second number = x+1

third number = x+3

and fourth number = x+3

according to the question,

x + x+1 + x+2 + x+3 = 166

4x + 6 = 166

4x= 160

x = 160/4 = 40

so,

first number = x = 40

so, second number = 40+1 = 41

third number = x+2 = 42

and fourth number = x+3 = 43

so, the numbers are 40, 41, 42, and 43.
