Answer:

Other number = 105

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The sum of HCF and LCM of two numbers is 435. LCM is 28 times their HCF. If one of the number is 60.

To find : The other number

Solution :

Let the HCF of numbers is x

Let LCM of numbers be y

The sum of HCF and LCM of two numbers is 435

x+y=435  ......[1]

LCM is 28 times their HCF

y=28x ........[2]

Put y value from [2] in [1]

x+28x=435

29x=435

x=15

Put back in [2]

y=28x

y=28(15)

y=420

HCF = 15

LCM = 420

One number is 60

We know,

Product of two numbers = HCF × LCM

60 × other number  = 15 × 420

60 × other number  = 6300

Other number = 105
