Step-by-step explanation:

Taking n= 1

S ` = 4*1 - 1^2

S` = 3

since first term = 3

taking n = 2

S = 4*2 - 2^2

S = 4

Second term = S - first term = 4 - 3 = 1

d= second term - first term = 1 - 3 = -2

now,

3 , 1 , -1 , -3. ......

This is the sequence of A.p
