Answer:

let the numerator of the fraction be x and the denominator be y.

according to the question-

x+y=10 (eq 1)

x+1/y-1=2/3

cross multiply

3x+3=2y-2

3x-2y=-5 (eq 2)

from eq 1 and 2 we get

(x+y=10)2

3x-2y= -5

2x+2y=20

3x-2y= -5

5x=15

x=15/5=3

putting the value of x in eq 1 we get

3+y=10

y=10-3=7

x=3,y=7.
