Hey friend here is your answer!!☺️☺️

sum is 12 so Let the numerator be x
and denominator is 12 - x .

Thus fraction formed = x/12 - x

Now according to the question,

x/ 12 - x + 3 = 1/2

x / 15 - x = 1/2
by cross multiplication,
15 - x = 2x
15 = 3x
5 = x

So the numerator of fraction is 5

and denominator is 12 - x = 12 - 5 = 7

So the fraction formed is 5/7.

☺️hope it helps☺️

Let the numerator be 'x' and the denominator be 'y'

By data,

x + y = 12 ... (a)

x / (y+3) = 1/2

On cross multiplication, we get:

2x = y+3

2x - y = 3 ... (b)

Adding (a) and (b), we get:

3x = 15

x = 5

Substituting 'x' in (a)

5 + y = 12

y = 7

Therefore, the fraction is 5/7.
