The correct question-

The ages of Ram and Shyam are in ratio 3:4 five years later. The sum of their ages will be 45 years. What are their present ages?

Step-by-step explanation:

Solution to this problem-

Ratio of ages= 3:4

Let Ram's age = 3x ….Shyam's age = 4x

A.T.Q

After 5 yr

Age of Ram = 3x + 5

Age of Shyam = 4x + 5

So,3x +5 + 4x + 5 = 45

7x + 10 = 45

7x = 35

x = 5

So, Ram's age = 5× 3 = 15 yrs

Shyam's age = 4× 5 = 20 yr
