Answer:

let one of the consecutive even no's be x

other consecutive no. be x+2

According to question,

sum of squares of consecutive no's= x² +(x+2)²=52

=x²+x²+4+4x=52

=2x²+4x-48=0

=2(x²+2x-24)=0

x²+6x-4x-24=0

x(x+6)-4(x+6)=0

(x-4)(x+6)=0

x=4,-6

x=4 since x is positve

other no.=6

therefore the two no.s are 4 and 6 respectively
