Answer:

son is 17 years old

Step-by-step explanation:

let the age of son is x

then his father age is twice the age of his son and 11 years more

then father's age is 2x+11

now ,

x + 2x + 11 = 62

3x + 11 = 62

3x = 62 - 11

3x = 51

x = 51/3

x = 17

Answer:

Let the age of son be = x

Let the age of father be = y

Then, the first equation we get is :

x + y = 62

The second one we get is :

y = 2x + 11

Put the second equation in first equation and solve.

=》 2x + x + 11 = 62

=》 3x = 51

=》 x = 17 years

Age of son = 17 years
