son' s age = x + 6

Father ' s age = (36-x) + 6 = (42+x)

According to question ,

5 (x+6) = ( 42- x)

5x + 30 = 42 - x

5x + x = 42 - 30

6x = 12

x = 2

Therefore ,

The present age of son is 2 year ,

The present age of father is 34 year.
