Step-by-step explanation:

Let the age of father be x.

let the age of son be y.

according to question,

x+y=65(1)

2(x-y)=50, x-y=25(2)

x+y=65

x-y=25

2x=90

!x=45-(3)

(3)in (1) or (2)

x+y=65

45+y=65

y=65-45

y=20.

The age of father is 45and that of son is 25years.
