The sum of the ages of father and son is 44. If 2 years later the father becomes
3 times old as his son the present age of father and son​

present age of father= x

present age of son =y

after 2 years

father's age= x+2

son age= y+2

x+2= 3(y+2) since after 2 years father is twice

x+2=3y+6

x-3y=4

x+y=44 given sum of ages is 44

4+3y+y=44

4y=40

y=10

x=34

so son's age =10

Father age = 34
