z  + (x - y) = y + 8

z + x = 2y + 8

Substitute values of y and z from (i) and (ii),

(x/5) + x = 2(100 - x) + 8

6x/5 = 200 - 2x + 8

16x = 1040

x = 65 years

from (i),

y = 100 - x = 100 - 65 = 35

from (ii),

z = x/5 = 65/5 = 13
