If his mother is twice his age, mother's age becomes 2x.



Mother is 6 years more than Sriram = 2x + 6

The sum of their ages = 57

=>x + 2x + 6 = 57

➾ 3x = 57 - 6

➾ 3x = 51

➾ x = 51/3

➾ x = 17


Present age of son is x years => 17 years✔
