Answer:

39

Step-by-step explanation:

let original number = xy

can be written in the form  10x + y

given ,  x + y = 12                                                              ..............(a)

new number =  reversed digit = yx

can be written in the form  10y + x

new number - original number = 54

( 10y + x ) - ( 10x + y )  =  54

  10y + x - 10x - y        =  54

   9y - 9x                     =  54

    9( y - x )                  =  54

       y - x                     =   54 / 9

       y - x                     =   6                                                ..............(b)

    solving (a) and (b) or simply adding (a) and (b)...

      x + y + y - x  =  12 + 6

      2y                 =  18

                 y  =  9

    putting y in (a) or (b)

               x  =  3

original number  =  10x +  y  =  10(3)  + 9  = 30  +  9  =  39

                                                                                                            thanks
