=> x + y = 12  

=> y = 12 – x        ------ (1)

Also given number is 6 times the unit digit

=> 10x + y = 6y

=> 2x – y = 0      ------- (2)

Substituting value of x from equation (1) in equation (2) we get

=>2x –( 12 – x) = 0

=> 3x = 12  

=>x = 4

From (2) y = 12 – x = 12 - 4 = 8
