Let Ten’s digit=x
Therefore, One’s digit=6−x
No.=10(x)+1(6−x)
=10x+6−x
=9x+6
Interchanged no=10(6−x)+x
=−10x+60+x
=60–9x
From the question:
9x+6+18=60–9x
18x=36
x=2
The no. is=24

42 is the answer as the 2 digit number is 24 . The sum of the digits of 24 is 6. After adding 18 to 24 we get 42 which is formed by interchanging the digits of the original number i.e. 24.
