Answer:

let the digits be x,y and zis units digit and y is the tens digit

let a two digit number be 10x+y

given that,

sum of the digits of the 2 digit number =x+y=8(eq.1)

ones digit is 3times the tens digit

=x=3y

substitute x value in eq.1

3y+y=8

=4y=8

= y=8/4

y=2

x=3(2)=6

Therefore,the number is 2×10+6=20+6=26

Answer:

the number is 26

Step-by-step explanation:

let the unit digit be x and tens digit be y

then no. = 10y + x

according to Ist condition:

x + y = 8

x = 8 - y eq. 1

according to 2nd condition:

x = 3y

putting x = 3y in eq. 1, we get

3y = 8 - y

3y + y = 8

4y = 8

y = 2

: since, x = 3y

x = 3 × 2

x = 6

number = 10y + x

= 26

hope it might help u :))
