Let the digit at ones place = x

And digit at tens place = y.

So number formed = 10y + x

Reverse number = 10x + y

According to statement

Case 1, x + y = 8........(1)

Case 2,

Reverse number - Original number = 18

10x × y - 10y - x = 18

9x - 9y = 18

x - y = 2...........(2)

Adding (1) and (2)

2x = 10

x = 5

Put x = 5 in ist equation

5 + y = 8

y = 3.

So required number = 10×3 + 5 = 35
