Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

let the number=xy

given,

      x+y=10......(1)

      yx-xy=36......(2)

from eq (1),

      y=10-x..............substitute in eq (2)

eq (2)==yx-xy=36

             (10-x)x-x(10-x)=36

             10x-x^2-10x+x^2=36

Answer:

let the first no be x

and the second no be y

according to the situation

x+y=10

and

y-x=36

x=10-y

substituting this value of x in y-x=36

y+y-10=36

2y=46

so

y=23

now

putting this value of y in 1

x=10-23

x=13
