=10x+y+12=100

=10x+y=88 -(2)

on subtracting equation 1 from equation 2

=10x+y=88

on putting x=8 in equation 1,we get

=8+y=16

=y=16-8

=y=8

therefore the number is

=10*8+8 [ putting the value of x and y in 10x+y]

=80+8

=88
