If the digits are reversed, the new number will be 10 x + 7- x = 9x+7. According to the problem 9 x + 7 = 4(70–9x) -3 i.e., 9 x+7 = 277 -36 x => 45 x = 270 => x = 6. The original number = 70–9 x = 70–54 = 16. The new number = 9 x +7 = 54+7 = 61.
