The sum of the digits of a 2 digits numbers is 7. The number formed by reversing the digits is 45 more than the original number. Find the original number.

let the digit on ones place be x and that on tens place be y

x+y=7

y=7-x

Original number = 10y+x=10(7-x)+x=70-10x+x

                            =70-9x

Reversed number=10x+y = 10x + 7 - x = 9x+7

Original number +45 = reversed number

70-9x+45 = 9x+7

70+45-7=18x

108=18x

x=6

original number = 70-9x = 70 - 54 = 16
