The sum of the digits of a three-digit number is 19. The tens digit is 4 times the units digit and the hundreds digit is 1 more than the tens digit. What is the number?

let the unit digit is x

then,ten digit is 4x

and the hundred digit is 4x+1

according to question,

x+4x+4x+1=19

=> 9x=19-1

=> 9x=18

=> x=18/9

=> x=2

so unit digit is 2

ten digit is 4×2=8

hundred digit is 8+1=9

the number is 982
