original number= 10x + y

x + y= 1/4(10x+y)

=>  y=2x ------(1)

10y +x = 18 + 10x + y

=> -x + y = 2

=> -x + 2x = 2 ( from 1)

=>x=2

put x =2 in 1

y= 2(2)

=> y=4

the number is 10x +y

= 24
