let x and y be tens and ones digit

given, x + y = 10   -(1)

number formed  = 10x + y

number formed by reversing = 10y + x

according to question

10x + y - 36 = 10y + x

9x - 9y = 36

9(x - y) = 36

x - y = 4  -(2)

subtract  (2) from (1)

x + y = 10

x - y = 4

2y = 6

y = 3

from (1)

x + y = 10

x + 3 = 10

x = 7

original number = 10x + y

                         = 10(7) + 3

                         = 73

therefore the original number = 73
