The sum of the digits of a two digit number is 10. If the digits are reversed, the number formed is 18 more than the original number. What is the original number?​

Let the tens digit be x and ones digit be y

therefore, Original no is 10x+y

sum of digits=x+y=10........(i)

if the digits are reversed, new no= 10y+x

10y+x=10x+y+18

9x-9y=-18

x-y=-2....(ii)

adding (i) and (ii)

x+y+x-y=10-2

2x=8

x=4

on substituting this in eq(i)

y=10-4=6

therefore the original no is 46 or 64
