Explanation:

Given :

the sum of the digits of a two digit number is 12. if the new number formed by reversing the digit is greater than the original number by 54.

To Find :

Original number

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

Let the ten's place digit be 'y' and unit digit be 'x'

Then number formed :\bold{10y+x}(original number )

Number formed after reversing the digit is \bold{10x+y}

According to the question:

Sum of two digits is 12 e.g=>\bold{x+y=12}

new number formed which is \bold{10x+y} is less than its original number by 54

then our equation becomes :

10x + y = 10y + x - 54

 =  > 10x - x + y - 10y =  - 54

 =  > 9x - 9y =  - 54

 =  > 9(x - y) =  - 54

 x - y =  - 6.........(1)

second equation is x+y=12 ........(2)

Solving equations 1 and 2 by adding both

\bold{x-y+x+y=-6+12}

\bold{x{\cancel{-y}}+x+{\cancel{y}}=-6+12}

2x = 6

\bold{\red{\boxed{x = 3}}}

now put X's value in equation 1

x - y =  - 6

3 - y =  - 6

 - y =  - 6 - 3

 - y =  - 9

\bold{\red{\boxed{y = 9}}}

We get\bold{\red{ x=3 }}and \bold{\red{y=9}}

Original number =10y+x =10×9+3=\bold{\red{93}}

number after reversing it =10x+y=10×3+9=\bold{\red{39}}
