let the first digit be x

and the second digit be y

sum of them=12

therefore x+y=12_______result 1

Now, the digit at unit place is 3 more than the twice the digit at tens place

y=2x+3____ result 2

put y=2x+3 in x+y=12

x+(2x +3)= 12

3x = 12-3

x= 9/3

x=3

put x=3 in x+y=12

3+y=12

y=12-3

y=9

your two digit number is 39
