Let the two digits of the no. be x and y respectively then,

x+y = 12 ...... (i)

So the no. would be 10x+y

Reverse of the no. will be 10y+x

According to question..

10y+x = 10x+y+36

10y-y = 10x-x+36

9y = 9x+36

9y = 9(x+4)

9y/9 = x+4

y = x+4

x-y = -4 ........ (ii)

Solving both the equations (i) and (ii) we get,

x+y = 12

x-y = - 4

2x = 8

x = 8/2

x = 4

Putting the value of x in eq. (i)

x + y = 12

4 + y =12

y = 12 - 4

y = 8

On putting the value of x and y in 10 y + x

We get the no. is 48.

ANSWER = 48
