Answer:

Number = 57

Step-by-step explanation:

let the two digits be x and y.

Now,

Number will be written as (10x+y)

A.T.Q,

x+y=12 ...................(i)

On interchanging,

New number will be written as (10y+x)

Given,

New number - old number = 18

10y+x - (10x+y) = 18

9y - 9x = 18

y - x = 2

y = x + 2. .............(ii)

Substituting (ii) in (i),

x + x + 2 = 12

2x = 10

x = 5

Using (ii),

y = 7

Hence Number = 10*5 + 7

= 57
