Let the units digit be x.
The tens digit =5−x
Original number =10(5−x)+x=50−9x
If digits are reversed, number is reduced by 27.
50−9x−27=10x+5−x
23−9x=9x+5
18x=18
∴x=1
Tens place =5−1=4
Therefore, the number is 41.
