Let us assume, x and y are the two digits of a two-digits number.
Therefore, The two digit number = 10x + y and the reversed number = 10y + x
Given:
x + y = 5 ----------1
Also given,
10x + y + 27 = 10y + x
9y - 9x = 27
y - x = 3 -----------2
Adding equation 1 and 2,
get,
2y = 8
y = 4
and x = 5 - y = 5 - 4 = 1
Therefore, the two digit number (original number) = 10x + y = (10 * 1) + 4 = 14
Therefore, The two digit number = 10x + y and the reversed number = 10y + x
Given:
x + y = 5 ----------1
Also given,
10x + y + 27 = 10y + x
9y - 9x = 27
y - x = 3 -----------2
Adding equation 1 and 2,
get,
2y = 8
y = 4
and x = 5 - y = 5 - 4 = 1
Therefore, the two digit number (original number) = 10x + y = (10 * 1) + 4 = 14
