Given:-

  • The sum of the digits of a two-digit number is 6.

  • If 18 is subtracted from the number, the digit of the number are interchanged.

To Find:-

  • Find the number

Solution:-

Let the ten's digit be x

Let the second digit be y

Number = 10x + y

According to the Question!

x + y = (6)________(1)

10x + y - 18 = 10x + y

9x - 9y = 18

x - y = 2_________(2)

Solving equations (1) and (2) we get!

x = 4

y = 2

Number = 10x + y

Number = 10 × 4 + 2 = 42

Hence,the number is 42.
