The sum of the digits of a two digit number is 8. Also three times this number exceeds the seven times the number obtained by reversing the order of the number by 4. Find the number.​

Answer:

let the tens place be x and units place be y

original no. = 10x+y

reversed no= 10y+x

x+y=8

y=8-x

3(10x+y)=7(10y+x)+4

30x+3y=70y+7x+4

23x-67y=4

23x-67(8-x)=4

23x-536+67x=4

90x=540

x=6

by substituting

y=8-6

y=2

original no = 62
