Answer:

let the digit at units place be x.

digit at tens place : 8 - x.

Original number = 10 (8 - x) + x * 1

= 80 - 9x

when the digits are interchanged the new number is : 10 * x + 1 * 8 - x

=9x + 8

BTQ,

9x + 8 = 80 - 9x + 18

solve the equation ,

you will get x = 4 .

so ,

original number = 44
