Step-by-step explanation:

Let the digit in the unit place be x and in 2'nd place is y

Therefore the number is =10y+x

Codition 1

x+y=8........(1)

Condition 2

(10y+x)-(10x+y)=18

-9x+9y=18

-x+y=2.........(2)

Solving the equations (1) and (2)

y=5

x=3

Therefore the original number is

10(5)+3

=53

Answer:

I think the number is 53

Step-by-step explanation:

Let one number be X

the other number be Y

  1. as per question X+Y=8

and difference between the number and the number formed by reversing the digits is 18

so 10X+Y -10y+X=18

9X-9Y=18

9(X-Y)=18

2.X-Y=2

add equation 1&2

so 2X=10

X=5

y=3

so the number is 53
