Step-by-step explanation:

Let the original number be 10a+b

given a+b=7 --------(1)

10b+a+3= 4 (10a+b)

10b+a+3= 40a+4b

39a-6b= 3

39a-6(7-a)=3 from (1)

45a-42=3

45a=45

a=1

b=6

a=1, b=6

so, the original number is 16
