Answer:

let the digit in tens place be x and that is in units place be y

there fore original number is 10x + y

and the number formed by reversing the digits is 10y + x

from first condition,

x + y = 12....eqn 1

from second condition,

(10x+ y) + 18 = 10y + x

10x - x + y -10y = -18

9x-9y=-18

x-y=-2........eqn 2

by adding eqn 1 and 2 we get

2x=10

x=5

put x=5 in eqn 1

y=7

the original number is 57

hope it will help you dear
