The sum of the height and the radius of a solid cylinder is 35 cm and its total surface area is 1540 cm^2; find the volume of the cylinder.

given r+h = 35cm , Surface area = 1540 cm²

Surface area of cylinder = 2πr(r+h)

1540= 2πr×35

r=1540/70π

r= 22/π

r= 22÷(22/7) , because π=22/7

r=7cm

since r+h = 35

7+h = 35

h= 28

Volume of cylinder = πr²h

V=(22/7)× 7²×28

V = 22×7×28

V = 4312 cm³
