The sum of the interior angles of a triangle is 180, of a quadrilateral is 360 and of a pentagon is 540. Assuming this pattern continues, find the sum of the interior angles of a dodecagon (12 sides).

Answer:

1800 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

so now sum of angles of a triangles = 180 deg

no of sides of a triangle = 3

now sum of angles can be written as

( side - 2 )× 180

( 3- 2) × 180 = 180

similarly in quardilateral there are = 4 sides

and ( 4 - 2 ) × 180 = 360

so we can say that for each polygon sum of its angles = ( number of sides - 2) ×180

so for dodecagon which has = 12 sides

now sum of angles will be = (12-2) ×180

= 10× 180

1800 deg .ans
