Hey mate here is your answer...

The sum of the numerator and denominator is 8 .

x + y = 8...........(1)

If 3 is added to both the numerator and denominator ,the fraction becomes 3/4.

x + 3 / y + 3 = 3 / 4

4(x + 3) = 3(y+ 3)

4x + 12 = 3y + 9

4x - 3y = 9 - 12

4x - 3y = -3.............(2)

By solving equations (1) and (2) ,we get x = 3 and y= 5.

Thus, the required fraction = 3/ 5

Hope it help you... So, Plzz mark my ans as brainliest answer....

Answer:  3/5

Step-by-step explanation:

In X/Y.  X+Y=8 ----(1)

And X+3/ Y+3 = 3/4 --- (2)

⇒4X+12=3Y+9

⇒4X-3Y=-3  --- (3)

From (1) 4X+4Y=32  --- (4)

Subtracting (3) from (4)  7Y=35

⇒Y=5  ∴ X=3

So, X/Y=3/5  (Ans)
