Let the numerator be x and denominator , y

Due to given conditions, we have:

x + y = 12  ... (i)

x/y+3 = 1/2

2x - y = 3     ... (ii)

Adding (i) and (ii), we get,

3x = 15 or x = 5

So, y = 12 - 5 = 7

Hence, the fraction is 5/7.
